Not many independent shoe stores around anymore. I like Fred's. Great place for work shoes for people who are on their feet constantly (like restaurant workers), safety shoes, cop shoes, narrow width shoes, findings and more. Better prices than mall stores, and real service.
Went here to get ESD shoes for work, I was amazed when a staff member actually sat in front of me laced the shoe up, and put the shoe on me, checked the sides and toe to see how it fit, he immediately asked "is that a little too tight?" Which it was... then he grabbed me a wider shoe and took the same care with checking it's fit. Point is, they go the extra mile and take pride in their craft.
I love this store!! And can't wait to go back for school shopping for my kids. I use to come here a lot when I was in my teens and will continue coming now that I have kids. Very convenient, good prices and close to my home!! Definitely a 5 Star Shoe Store!!
Great price, great service. Toast was my first time there and I will be bringing the family there every time we need shoes. They ask about your day and find you the best shoe for your needs
I've been a customer close to 10 years because they sell quality shoes at fair prices. The one time there was a quality issue on a shoe, they replaced it with a new pair "just like that"!
