I received good customer service on the first day.
I went there just to ask a question, the person behind the counter said I needed to provide a lot of personal information before he could help me.
when I told him no his attitude changed from condescending and disturbed to mean and nasty.
HORRIBLE experience, customer service, girl working there, etc. And Horrible is an understatement. Called in the morning, got a truck reserved for THAT day, got the confirmation in my email. Was told someone would call me RIGHT after we hung up to tell me what location to pick up the keys, waited and waited and waited. Called back, they said no one reached me because they took down the number wrong AND my name wrong. They spelled my name "Duran" isn't that a musician or song or something? Not even close to my name.. how do you do that.. pay attention and/or confirm name & number to make sure it's correct by reading it back.. idiots. You work there, I shouldn't have to tell you how to do your job. How do you still even have a job? So they tell me the keys are waiting for me at the Boston rd springfield location, I go ALL the way there and the unprofessional woman tells me, "oh we don't have it, I don't know why, I don't know where it is." Well do your freaking job and find out! So I sit there, ask her, "well is there another truck for us than? ..or what can we do?" She says, "nope, I don't know what to tell you." Then calls the next person in line to assist them while I'm still sitting there, asking for a manager, etc. And she's ignoring me. So then I leave, calling them back, they're transferring me back and forth to different representatives and/or hanging up on me after waiting to get through to someone 15 minutes each call. We ended up canceling our reservation.. we weren't getting anywhere and no one was helping us. And we needed a truck THAT day. Thankfully we found another location with great people and great customer service and got what we needed no problem. SMH. How is this location still in business or how do those people still have a job. What we went through was Unnecessary and we shouldn't have had to go through that. I 100% agree with Eugenio's review..> "The worse customer service that I've seen in my whole life. The girl treats you like you're the problem in her life. The guys are doing a good job there but the girl... jesuss" If a manager, boss someone of head sees these reviews please take note and make change's and do something about this.. it's not professional.
You can never get through to the actual location and most reps are rude and never answer the question. I paid my bill on time every month....so I am free from uhaul and I have nothing in their storage. I would advise you to avoid the hassle. I had some kind of charge to my checking account that wasn't on file and no one could ever explain it. Still waiting for a manager to call me back.......forget about it
I will never go to that place again. That is what not having enough competition allows you to get away with but your time will come and someone will be eating your lunch.
I have never been so disappointing with a service in my life. The customer service is de-humanizing and the lack of accountability and communication is astonishing for an international business. Originally the problem was just that the promised - "guaranteed" delivery date was not met. Then the issue tripled in size due to the fact that U-Haul had in fact not ever shipped my box and as of this comment the box is still in Idaho and is expected to be at least 15 days later than the delivery date. What has Uhaul done to make up for this? Refunded maybe 15% of the original $4500 paid, failed to give us a delivery date for our stuff and not called us back (after repeated attempts). Truly a disaster of an experience and I can't tell you enough - don't use a U-Box!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All we needed was a propane fill... wasn't enough people working at the time to even acknowledge we were there it was so busy. Folks waiting in the parking lot shared with me that they had been there since "opening at 9am", but no employees of U-Haul showed up until 9:15 or even 9:30. Decided to leave and come back an hour later to see if it had calmed down at all to get some propane... but they were still way too busy. Hire some more people so you don't have a crowd of people waiting to return trucks / want to rent trucks and completely neglect the folks who just want a propane fill!
